Over the weekend, Colleen and I discussed what changes and/or questions we had about the original draft.
Working from the left of the plans, we wanted to add a couple windows on the 2 car garage facing West. We do a lot of entertaining and during inclement weather and winter months, we spend time in our garage. We wanted a couple windows to add some natural light. We wanted a 3' exterior door from the 2 car garage to the backyard added on the North wall.
Master Bathroom: we decided not to have an all-tile shower and had it changed to a fiberglass tray with tile surround. Master Bedroom we thought about an exterior door to the backyard with a covered roof with access to the rear covered porch. Discussing this with Allen and we decided not to go with the door and overhand because it would interfere with the backyard view from the dining room.
Kitchen: Colleen wanted the double ovens to be on the South wall with the refrigerator/hidden pantry. She also wanted the additional sink in the pantry removed.
We wanted a larger rear covered porch so we had additional space to put in the outside kitchen after the build was complete.
The guest bathroom had a tub/shower and we only wanted a shower with a fiberglass tray and tile surround like the master bathroom.
The Office (2nd Bedroom) we wanted to move the closet and put double French doors that would be an additional highlight in the living room. All the additional scribbles were trying to decide what to change around with the closets between the guest bedroom/guest bathroom and office. Originally we also thought about leaving a space behind the guest bedroom for a future sunroom. After talking with Allen, we scratched the idea due to the difficulty that would be involved to get the roof line and foundation to match the new structures. We decided on shrinking the closet to add an exterior door from the guest bedroom to the backyard.
Colleen and I had a planned trip with Rick & Christina Crew to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on Thursday, March 3 - Sunday, March 6, 2022 and Allen said he would get the changes made and email them to us then after the trip to let him know and we would go over any additional changes.
