We discussed our front renderings with Allen and explained how we envisioned the front of our dream home and the changes necessary for it towards the end of week on March 11th. He said he would work on it during the next week and wanted to talk on Friday, March 18, 2022 to go over the plans again.
Draft 3 had the "bump outs" we wanted on the 1 car garage and the guest bedroom. He flattened the ceiling on the front porch. He put a cathedral ceiling in the office, which we thought was a nice added touch and something we didn't think of for the office.
Draft 3 floor plan was complete and told Allen we had no other changes for the first floor. He said he would work on Draft 4 that would include the basement floor plans. We discussed with him that we wanted 2 bedrooms both with egress windows that would have to be located on the East side of the house so it wouldn't interfere with the backyard and our future site for the swimming pool. We also wanted a bathroom, family room with a kitchenette and a game/theatre room. The game room thought was to have Jake's XBox and all the games in one room that would not mess up the family room.
The Front Rendering was exactly what we had envisioned! The gables were where we wanted them, the roof line was how we wanted it, it was what we had dreamed about. The only change to the outside was not have the metal roof on the 2 bump outs and the porch - just have it all asphalt shingles.
Allen told us that the next draft should be everything we were wanting and this could be the draft that we put our final approval on. We were so excited to see the finished plans. He said he'd get them to us on Friday, March 25, 2022 for us to look over and we could have a Zoom Meeting the week after to make any changes that we wanted and also to be able to have a virtual walkthrough of our floor plans including the first floor and the basement.
Draft 3 brought us the front rendering exactly how we wanted it! The only changes that we wanted was to make the entire roof asphalt shingles instead of the metal roof on the bump-outs and the front porch.
